Founded in 2012 by Rebekah Robertson (she/her), proud mum of Georgie Stone (she/her), Transcend began as the first family support network of its kind in Australia.
What started as one mum’s determination to stand by her trans daughter has grown into a national, community-controlled organisation supporting thousands of families across the country. In 13 years, we’ve:
• Supported families in every state and territory
• Helped 79% of parents feel more confident supporting their child
• Created peer groups where 66% of parents found a connection they couldn’t access elsewhere.
Family support saves lives. Thanks to you—our community, our allies, our families, our donors—we’ve been able to keep showing up, growing stronger, and walking alongside trans, gender diverse, and non-binary young people, and those who love them.
