We’re delighted to announce that Susanne Prosser (she/her) will be joining Transcend Australia as our new Chief Executive Officer, commencing 30 June 2025.
With over 30 years of leadership experience across the youth and community sector, Susanne has dedicated her career to building inclusive, supportive, and accessible services for diverse communities. A passionate advocate for social justice, Susanne has a long history of standing alongside LGBTIQA+ communities — both professionally and personally. She identifies as a queer lesbian and has been a strong ally to the trans, gender diverse and non-binary community throughout her career.
This is a true homecoming for Susanne. Having worked closely with founder Rebekah Robertson to help establish Transcend’s governance structures and first strategic plan, Susanne returns to lead the organisation she helped shape in its earliest days. Now, she brings fresh energy, innovative thinking, and a clear vision to guide Transcend into its next chapter.
Susanne’s leadership experience spans community organisations, local government, the state education system, and most recently, Berry Street Victoria, where she led Diversity and Inclusion. She brings an exceptional combination of lived experience, sector expertise and a strong commitment to equity, advocacy and systemic change.

Susanne adds:

I look forward to building on the strong foundation laid by Rebekah Robertson and Jeremy Wiggins and to working toward a sustainable future for Transcend Australia.”
