Making a Gift

Making a gift in your will is very a personal decision that requires careful consideration. If you’d like your legacy to include meaningful and life-changing support for trans, gender diverse and non-binary young people, families and caregivers, the steps are easy:

1. Have a conversation with your loved ones, your estate planner or legal advisor to decide upon the gift that best reflects your wishes.

2. Choose the type of gift that you would like to leave for the benefit of young people and their families. There are 3 options you can consider:

• ​A ‘residuary gift’ is the whole or a percentage of the remainder of your estate once your other wishes have been carried out. (These gifts retain their value regardless of inflation).
• A ‘specific gift’ which is a fixed dollar amount.
• A ‘specific asset’ which is a possession or an item (eg. property or shares).

To ensure your bequest is directed to Transcend Australia please include the information below in your will

• Transcend Australia Ltd is our company’s legal name
• Our Australian Business Number: ABN: 38 637 199 056
• Our Australian Company Number: ACN: 637 199 056.

We suggest the following wording:

I give to Transcend Australia Ltd (ABN 38 637 199 056) of 35 Etty Street, Castlemaine, Victoria, a gift of (enter here your choice of either a specific gift amount or a percentage of your residuary estate) for its general purposes.
