Today on May 17, we celebrate all LGBTIQA+ communities, their contributions to society, the joy they bring to the world and their achievements. Today, we also hold the older generations of our community in our hearts with gratitude for all the work they have done to create a safer world for us and the next generation. We still have a long way to go to end discrimination for all LGBTIQA+ communities and that this can only be truly achieved with the support from our allies, governments and broader society.

LGBTIQA+ communities face disproportionate levels of discrimination, and this is a very current issue impacting trans, gender diverse and non-binary young people and their families across Australia. The forces who oppose us are loud and powerful and if we are going to pave a rainbow road to equality, then the support for our communities must be strong, visible and in solidarity with us. 💖International Family Day for our families, who are a key protective factor for trans, gender diverse and non-binary young people. We celebrate the many types of families in our community who help us ensure we work towards a world where our young people are embraced and given every opportunity to thrive.💖

💖We are also celebrating National Volunteer week. We are so grateful for all the amazing parents and carers who volunteer their time to support other families who are journeying with their young people.💖

We are amazed by the contributions that families and volunteers make towards our work and towards our vision. Thank you for everything that you do, we couldn't do what we do without you!

We are inviting trans, gender diverse and non-bina

We are inviting trans, gender diverse and non-binary youth (18-25) to participate in an important project that Transcend Australia is leading, in partnership with Victorian services and organisations.

We are hosting an online community consultation on the evening of Tuesday, 23rd May at 6pm-7.30pm and attendees will receive a $75 gift card for your participation.

The project will result in the development of tools and resources to improve health care and referral pathways for trans young people.

This consultation is for trans, gender diverse and non-binary young people aged 18-25 currently living in Victoria.
